Delivering (More) Productive Plan Presentation Meetings - BETA
6 Hours CE Credit (CFP, CPE, IWI, American College, and NASAA for IAR P&P*) *available to all course purchasers
Course Overview and Learning Outcomes
Conducting plan presentation meetings can be the difference between delivering recommendations that gather dust and strategies that transform clients' financial futures. Yet, many advisors struggle to move beyond simply giving complex analyses to creating compelling, actionable presentations that inspire client confidence and commitment. This critical gap in the planning process often results in delayed implementations, client hesitation, and missed opportunities to demonstrate true advisor value.
This course provides a comprehensive framework to overcome that challenge by equipping advisors with practical strategies to lead more engaging and effective plan presentation meetings. Advisors will learn proven techniques for structuring collaborative presentations, translating complex recommendations into clear client benefits, and securing meaningful implementation commitments. Through demonstrations and application-based learning, participants will develop the skills to transform technical planning work into collaborative and actionable client conversations to create the foundation for swift implementation, enhanced client trust, and successful long-term financial plans.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Prepare effectively for plan presentation meetings by organizing materials, finalizing plan inputs, and aligning the presentation with client goals and priorities to promote client action.
- Facilitate productive plan presentation meetings by setting expectations, establishing rapport, and guiding client understanding throughout the meeting.
- Deliver preliminary projections and initial findings – highlighting key observations and opportunities – and solicit client feedback to shape final recommendations.
- Present recommendations clearly and persuasively by prioritizing key actions, and tailoring delivery to client goals and circumstances to enhance understanding and implementation.
- Adapt presentation delivery using behavioral cues and communication strategies to ensure clarity and prevent information overload.
Who This Course Is Right For
This course is best suited for early career financial advisors with less financial planning experience.
